Autocalypse

Autocalypse was a research project that examined the relationship between humans and automobiles/machines at the intersection of music theater, immersive performance and installation in the drive-in theater.

The evening starts as one would expect at a drive-in movie theater: popcorn, film trailers, good vibes. But gradually, things start to shift; dubbing voices change, performers from the film become visible between the cars, and even your own car starts to speak... The unease of technology taking over becomes a staged loss of control.

As part of a process promotion by the Performing Arts Fund, composer and singer Mathias Monrad Møller and theater makers Romy Weyrauch and Peira come together. The documentation of their research can be found here.
