College for the Rediscovery of Class Consciousness

There is a fight against racism, capitalism, and for feminism. These struggles are often separated and a fundamental solidarity is missing. How can the demands of factory workers, refugees, unemployed individuals, and those who work in households be formulated in a way that their interests become a collective interest? In a series of discussions in Frankfurt, Mannheim, and Berlin, we spoke with trade unionists and strike alliances, sex workers, journalists, professors, representatives of blind organizations, and sociologists about a contemporary "class consciousness" that is able to formulate individual concerns as common ones.

The result of this artistic research was a performance. The audience was led through playful scenarios, such as a wedding celebration or a lunch in the cafeteria of a large company, experiencing the different thoughts of the guests of the discussion series.
