When does silence become power and when does it become powerlessness? How do we talk about silence? What is being kept secret? Whether it's confidentiality, moments of silence, or vows of silence: Silence is a social practice that is often perceived as protest, agreement, religious ritual, knowledge, ignorance, or mystery. At one of the last places where it is still accepted for the majority of those present to remain silent, we bring silence to the stage as a material presence, as a monstrous presence that breaks categories and boundaries and invites the audience to question conventions.
