SISTERQUEENS 2022

In 2022 the cooperation with MÄDEA was expanded to 7 additional locations in different districts. In the end there were 3 video clips and a joint concert at HAU 1 featuring girls* from all over Berlin and professional rappers*, as well as a blog for tutorials on the topic of rap and feminism.

For over half a year, groups of girls* from six districts have approached rap as an emancipatory practice together with rappers Alice Dee, Haszcara, Leila Ey, MC Josh, and Yetundey. The resulting songs and music videos take up space and make room for glittering mosaics, for voices with attitude, and for criticism of standardization and superficialities. The highlight is the SISTERQUEENS concert on July 2nd on the main stage of the Hebbel am Ufer theater. But it's not just the concert that motivates other girls*: in 2022, the SISTERQUEENS Blog will also go online. Here you will find tutorials, lyrics, and podcasts - all about the topic of feminist rapping.
